BRIEF ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, stay in Arusha city hotel.

Day 2: Drive to lake Manyara national park- evening game drive

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti national park.

Day 4: Full day game drive in the serengeti plains.

Day 5: Extra day of game drive in the serengeti plains.

Day 6: Transfer to Ngorongoro conservation& crator area.

Day 7: Full day game drive in Ngorongoro crator.

Day 8: Drive to Tarangire national park -Evening game drive

Day 9: Drive back to Arusha city / Kilimanjaro airport.

 

DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 1: Pick up at Kilimanjaro Airport to the hotel address in Arusha city.

Depends on your arrival time and flight number. Meet and greet the driver-guide at the airport.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Arusha city. with little briefing on the next day program.

 

Day 2: Drive to lake Manyara national park. Evening game drive.

Morning breakfast and then drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara national park.

When you drive further into the park, you can see groups of anubis baboons and sykes monkeys play along the side of the road. Bushbucks will appear out of the bushes and it is very possible you may bump into an elephant on the road. Elephants often use the road so that they do not have to go through the thick bush. Also remember to look up once in a while. Just like in Tarangire, the lions are sometimes in the trees and also a lot of leopards live in this area (though you have to be lucky to spot them). If the big cats can not be found in the trees, there are a lot of birds to spot in the trees. Dinner and overnight stay at the booked lodge.

 

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National park.

Morning breakfast and then drive from Manyara to Serengeti National Park. Have lunch en-route. After lunch you will proceed to the park for a game drive in the park. as you proceed to the booked lodge.

 

Day 4: Full day game drive with packed picnic lunch boxes.
Early morning game drive to see also nocturnal animals returning from hunting and lions awaking in the dawn During the game drive you might spot buffalos, elephant, giraffe, eland, topi, kongoni, impala, Zebras, lion, Solitary leopards near Seronera River, cheetahs, hyena, aardwolf , serval cat, Gaudy agama lizards and rock hyraxes, Black Rhinoceros , waterbuck, baboon, African wild dog and kongonis. Apart from the animals you might spot various birds which include the ostrich, bizarre secretary, black eagles, and acacia woodland secretary bird, Kori bustard, crowned crane, marabou stork, martial eagle, and lovebirds. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the evening you can relax at the lodge.

 

Day 5: Extra day of game drive with packed picnic lunch boxes.

Day 6:  Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater.
After breakfast you will drive to Ngorongoro National park. After arrival you will have lunch and later go for an afternoon game drive to the crater for a game drive. Ngorongoro national park is a world heritage site, it’s located in Ngorongoro District and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera lies with in this conservation area. It was formally part of Serengeti national park.  It’s a home to over 500 bird species, 25,000 large animals, which live in the montane forest, grassland, and bush land with bussei trees, open grassland, wood land, Munge Stream, Lerai Stream, Ngoitokitok Spring, and many other small springs around the crater's floor.

 

 

Day 7:  Ful Day Game drive in the Ngorongoro crator

During the game drive you will spot animals like  cheetah, lion, black rhinoceros, hippopotamus, wildebeest the zebra the eland, Grant's and Thompson's gazelles, leopards, elephants, mountain reedbuck, and buffalo, wildebeest, hartebeest, waterbuck, warthog, hyena and jackals. Primates include baboons and vervet monkeys. During the game drive you might spot some birds which include ostrich, bizarre secretary, black eagles, secretary bird, Kori bustard, crowned crane, marabou stork, martial eagle, lovebirds, bustards and plovers, European migrants from November to May include White Storks, swallows, Yellow Wagtails among others, Stonechat, Schalow's Wheatear, Anteater Chat, Fiscal Shrike, Augur Buzzards, Verreaux's Eagle and flamingoes, Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

 

 

Day 8: Ngorongoro to Tarangire National Park- evening game drive
After breakfast you will drive to Tarangire national park. The park is home to over 500 bird species and various animals which live in the acacia and mixed woodland vegetation, baobab trees and old palm, black cotton grass Baobab trees, dense bush and high grasses.
On arrival you will go for a game drive where you will spot animals like the wildebeest, elephants, zebras, and hartebeest, giraffes, Impala, Eland, lesser kudu, waterbuck, gazelle rhinos, leopards, giant pythons, Thompson’s gazelle, greater and lesser kudu, cheetah, oryx and generuk, tree climbing lions, birds like Kori bustard, stocking-thighed ostrich, ground hornbills, colourful yellow-collared lovebird, drabber rufous-tailed weaver ,ashy starling ,dwarf mongoose, and pairs of red-and-yellow barbet may be spotted too. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

 

Day 9: Tarangire to Arusha / Airport drop off.
Breakfast and then drive back to Arusha
End.
